ROSEWELL of the Blackdown Hills

My father Kenneth ROSEWELL (1917-1994) and my mother Ida COLES (1915-2001) lived at Luppitt.

The ROSEWELL family originated from Bradford-on-Tone, Somerset, with William ROUSEWILLE (c.1400-c.1460). Our branch of this family moved from Bradford-on-Tone to Hillfarrance, Somerset,; West Buckland, Somerset; across the Blackdown Hills to Clayhidon, Devon; Churchstanton, Devon; Buckland St Mary, Somerset; Sheldon, Devon; Cotleigh, Devon; Luppitt, Devon, Awliscombe, Devon and back to Luppitt.

This story has been published under the title of "Rosewell of the Blackdown Hills" and a copy has been lodged with the South West Heritage Trust (Catalogue A/DUK/3)
